Never realized it, but time flew by so fast!

It has been a whole frigging year since I last posted. And traded for that matter.
Looks like I gotta buck up for my plans to become a millionaire eh?
I wonder if my past indicators are still relevant today.

OK, since my last post here, I have been doing demo trades, backtesting and trying to design my own trading strategy.

The one that I am going to post, is so far the most successful one I have to date.
I am sure I am not alone when I say that it is difficult to find a trading strategy that works ALL the time.

And depending on the risk appetite and trading habits of the individual, each trading strategy developed thru experience is unique to that individual.

What I want to do is to share the trading strategy that I am currently using, and hopefully, be able to generate a healthy dose of discussion with regards to developing your own strategy. Again, I must add the disclaimer that I am sharing for information purpose only. What may work for me, may not work for you.

I will try to attempt to put my system in words.

So far, this system has worked well for me. And trading on my account, it is more profitable than most of the other systems I have tried.

The only problem to my system rite now that I am facing, is to put in a reasonable SL to ensure that you can ride the throw backs prior to the completion of the trend that you entered your trade in.

You can use any time period for this method. And it can be used on most of the major 4 currency pairs. I have yet to test it on cross currency pairs though. But it should work as well.

On the chart, set up the following indicators:
1) Bollinger bands at period 20, sd 2.5 (color the center line Gold)
2) Bollinger bands at period 20, sd 1.0
3) ADX 8, DI+ 13, DI- 13
4) RSI 18 Levels 75, 50, 25

Long Entry Setup MUST include all the following conditions
- When the candle closes above the gold line
- RSI crosses above 50
- ADX slopes upwards to show a trend
- DI+ above DI-
(Best if the bollinger bands are opening!)

Short Entry Setup MUST include all the following conditions
- When the candle closes below the gold line
- RSI crosses below 50
- ADX slopes upwards to show a trend
- DI- above DI+
(Best if the bollinger bands are opening!)

Exit on either of the following (at the close of the candle)
- When the ADX upward slope changes direction
- When the RSI changes direction
- When the candle closes with>60% body below the sd1.0 line.

Using the above set up, I usually put a SL of 30 pips and a TP of 30 pips as well.

The SL is not the optimum value yet. Cos during my usage of this system in the past month, I get a few pre-mature closing of my trades due to throw backs.

What I did was to achieve more profitable trades, is to adjust my SL and my TP as the trade progresses.
At the beginning, I will set up the SL=30 pips and TP=30 pips.
If the subsequent candle opens above the wick of the previous one, I will move my SL to 1 pip above the last close value, and shift my TP 10 pips up.
(eg, for a long set up, if the previous candle closes at 100 with a wick of 110, and the current candle opens at 112, I will adjust my SL to 101 and shift my TP up 10 pips.)
I will continue to adjust my SL till I reach the point where my SL= my entry price. There after, keep adjusting the TP up 10 pips till the exit condition is met OR till the trade closes at the TP i set.

So far, my max profit from using this system in one single trade is 80 pips on the 5 min chart.

Any feedback with regards to the above strategy is most welcome and appreciated.

Looks like another week of no trades.

Looking at the charts, there have been only side way movements. And when there is a trend happening, I am at work and not able to ride the trends to make some profits!

The period that I can monitor the charts, the USD/JPY pair is moving literally sideways, with too little pips movements to allow my system to find an entry point.

Sigh... :g: Looks like i have to look at other currency pairs or refine my system to see if I can do better at the pair that I am monitoring.

Been spending so much time on forex that I literally forgot all about my PTPs and PTCs programs.
The only few cents I managed to earn the last few weeks are on mylot.
And that ain't enough to reach payout either.
Hmm... looks like money management is not enough. I need better time management as well!

This is a grip post!
I tell you, if there is some one who outta be screwed, it is Murphy and his laws!
Things are always like that. When you want to do something, there will be a ton of other things that will pop up to take up your time and away from the thing you planned to do.

This is exactly what happened to me the past week.
I sit down and want to do some trades. And then something else will come up that has higher priority that requires my attention.
Day after day. Barely could monitor the market for the whole week.

Sigh... not much activity on the trading front. Did some reading and tweaked my trading system a little. I will try to do some trades with the new system and see if they are better than the one I previously had.

Hopefully this week, I will be able to concentrate on some trading!

Well, the start of a new week yesterday.
After my last trades created a margin call on my demo account, I could no longer trade on that account as it has left me with too little to even make a 0.10 lot trade.

So I started the week with a new demo account.

Last night was S-L-O-W on the USD/JPY front!
The movement of the chart was literally sideways!
With peaks of 20 pips between the max and min, minus the spread, there is only about 17-18 pips to play with.
And sitting down in front of the computer for a few hours, the chart was literally creeping up and down the min and max boundary. Most of the time, the max movement is about 5-12 pips.
Considering the movement between the min and max, and the sideways movement, it is near impossible to trade.

Ended up with a wasted night of not putting any trades.

May have to consider looking at other currency pair. I wonder if my current indicators will work with other currency pairs or not. Will have to experiment to know for sure.

Well, this is the progress I made over the last few days.

I have been reading a lot of Forex material in between trades.
And one thing that all the material is saying is to create your own system.
And once you create it, trust it and believe in it and follow it!
Well, this is my result for Tuesday.

I was doing pretty well for the beginning part. And I was glad.
So while waiting for the next set up, I was exploring the various limits that my mini account could allow me.
Then I spotted a entry set up. Thinking, there could be no harm to try and see if I can play more lots. So I bought me the maximum number of lots my fund size allowed me.
Yep, 0.03 lots is all my account can do right now. And that was enough to do a lot of damaged.
The trade went in my direction at first. Then it did a horrible reversal on me!
Wanting to cut my losses, I quickly try to close the trade!
To my horror, I got a "Server Busy... Trade not closed"!
So I tried again, keeping my eye on the trade, looking at the losing pips increasing all the time.
Again, it was a "Server Busy... Trade not closed"!
I prayed, and hope that the next one will close.
SO I tried again. To my horror, the chart suddenly trended, and did a long of 20 pips. Just when the 20 pips hit, my trade closed!
I almost died of a heart attack!
Lost 37 pips! 3 times the number of lots I usually played. Total loss, -112 pips!

I am thanking my lucky stars this is a demo account.

One expensive lesson learnt! Trust my system and DO NOT BE GREEDY!

From now on, only one lot at a time till I can double my initial fund size!

Well, after that last big loss, I was licking my wounds from that bashing.

Well, the first one trade went in the direction I wanted in the beginning. Then it did a reversal. Thinking it was just a fluatuation of price, I let it run. My stop loss of 20 pips was triggered before my take profit was realized.
Another one bites the dust.
Ah well, so I waited. And did another trade later on which gained me 15 pips.
Minimized my losses. Not too bad. Was too tired to trade further. So I ended the day with two trades only.

Sigh... another day of losing trades. This is how I fared Today.

First trade did a total reversal on me after I entered it. Thinking it was a fluctuation, I let the trade run. Hit my stop loss before I could do anything.
Sigh... Looks like it is gonna be another losing day for me.
Spotted another entry set up. And I took it! Guess what? Yes... another reversal.
I am in no form to trade any further.
SO I sat by the sidelines today. And on the side lines I will stay till I can spot another entry set up.
But given my performance from the last few days, I am not very confident.

Three days of unsuccessful trading is all it took to wipe out what ever winnings I may have earned in the first day of trading.
Sigh...
I will try to do some back testing this weekend to see where I have gone wrong.
And hopefully, next week, I can come back stronger than I did this week!

As tomorrow is the day where the US Economic Report is going to be released, I am planning not trade tomorrow as the markets will be too erratic.
My skills have not been honed to that extend yet.
But I will monitor the charts anyways. Maybe, maybe I will just put in a trade or two if I am confident enough.
Given my losing streak the past few days, I am not that sure though.

The week began pretty good.
When I opened my account yesterday, I found a trend. In fact, there were two pretty long trends yesterday based on the 5 min charts.

Trading the USD/JPY.
Strategy: Trading the 30min chart, using the 5 min and 1 min chart to decide whether to re-enter to ride the trend, or to hold back my trades.
TP and SL is as stated in my previous post.
Using the Bollinger bands and the Stochastic as my indicators.

The results for the first day of trade are as follows:

Not bad for a first day of the month. A positive figure to wrap up the day.
I hope I can continue to spot the trends correctly!

Today, the market seems a little quiet.
Been at the comp for almost two hours already. Still cannot find a good set up to enter a trade.
Ah well... more reading then. :)

Hmm... setting up a system....

After reading more, I have discovered that to trade, I must have a system.
Duh~~! That much I know.
But the useful thing about setting up a system is this... it can be done in six simple steps.

1) Define a time frame that you want to trade in.
2) Decide on the indicators that you want to use to identify the entry points.
3) Decide on the indicators that you want to use to confirm those trends that you want to enter.
4) Define your risk appetite.
5) Define the entry point and the exit points.
6) Write it all down and stick to it!

Sounds simple right?
Well, I am starting a new month with a new demo account. No harm giving this a go.
Coupled with my experience from my last demo account, I am going to write down my trading system for this month and see if it is working.

1) Define a time frame that you want to trade in.
Well, this should be simple. Given my small trade fund account, I am going to stick to the 1 min, 5 min and 30 min time frame.

2) Decide on the indicators that you want to use to identify the entry points.
I have been pretty successful using the indicators the last time I traded.
So I will stick to it. The indicators I am using are: EMA and Bollinger Bands

3) Decide on the indicators that you want to use to confirm those trends that you want to enter.
Previously, I was using Stochastics as the confirming indicator for the trends I spotted.
There are a few other indicators that the gurus are using.
I am going to try using the following as well to see if they will be helpful to me or not: MACD and RSI

4) Define your risk appetite.
This time, I am going to ensure EVERY trade uses a Stop Loss (SL). I am setting my SL at 20 pips.

5) Define the entry point and the exit points.
My entry will be at the close of the current candle.
Too many times I have spotted a trend. And in my eagerness to enter a trade, I enter mid-way to a formation of a candle. Most of the time, my trade ended the way I wanted. There are a few times that happened such that by the end of the formation of the candle, the trade did a total reversal on me!
So this time, the entries will all be at the close of a candle to ensure my trend spotting is correct!

My Exit would be as follows:
a) All trades will have a stop loss of 20 pips.
b) As I am using a MT4 platform, I can do a Trailing Stop as well. The Trailing Stop will be 20 pips as well.

6) Write it all down and stick to it!
There it is, I have written it all down. Now, to test it out on the demo account!

Trading review for May

I have been studying my journal entries in the trading platform that I was practicing with. And this is the analysis that I made of my own performance.

Mistake number 1

Each trade set up I made, I only put in the Take Profit (TP).
This is because every time I put in a stop loss, the fluctuations in the prices of the currency pair is triggered way before my TP could be realized.
Frustrated by that, I never really put a Stop Loss (SL) for most of the trades that I opened.

I have been fairly successful in my first three weeks of trading using this method. This is mainly because the price movement kept within a 2 dollars range.
So even when I left the trade open with no stop losses, the trade eventually closed in profit. This is because I have more than enough equity and margin to allow for the price to fluctuate without a margin call.
Managed to even double my funds within this period too! And I was so happy. I finally understand FOREX and the different entry points when they present themselves.
At least, that is what I thought!~

The above strategy I used was a double edge knife that cut me bad during the last week of May, and the one thing that caused my downfall in the demo account.
Nearing the end of the third week, the general trend was still a "Sell" when looking at the charts.
So I put in a trade to "Sell" at the beginning of Friday (of the Third week of May) and went to work. When I came back and checked on my trade, it was still 10 pips short of my TP, so I held on and left the trade open over the week end.

That, on hind sight, was a mistake. A big mistake that I am regretting right now.
During the last week of May, when the markets opened, the price of the USD/JPY did a total reversal.
The price of the USD/JPY pair went up an amazing 200++ pips to end at its peak of 97.10 ++.
That was way more than the equity or margin that I have. As such, the system did a margin call and closed my opened trades, leaving my account with a miserable USD 1.40!!

Mistake number 2

It was a painful lesson. Even though it was just a demo account, I felt defeated.
Reviewing my trade journal, I became cocky when I started making money during the first three weeks of my entry into the market. And I let that get into my head.
A "sin" that I committed. One that was constantly drummed in the various books and forums that I read not to commit. And I DID!

Remedy number 1

The other thing that I feel I need more practice in, is to recognize the different candle stick patterns better. So far, using the few indicators like Alligator and Bollinger bands, I have been able to catch the different trends to earn some good pips. But this is with constant help from referring to books when these indicator patterns present themselves.
And when they do, referring back and forth between the books and the screen, I wasted opportunities to enter the market at a better time to catch the trends.
So more practice is required on this front.

Remedy number 2

I am going to start to put a SL for EVERY trade I make.
Regardless of whether the SL is triggered on not during the fluctuations of the currency pair, I will have to accept the results. If I gain pips, it is a bonus. If I lose pips, I will have to re-evaluate my entry position to make a better trade the next time.

Remedy number 3

I am going to have to control my emotions more. Do not let a few successful trades get to my head that I forget the rules of the game.
Methods that are taught in the books and the various forums do not lie. They are tested time and time again. So stick to the rules and not let a few successful trades get to my head!

Today, I am starting another demo account. And put into practice the things I mentioned above.
I am planning to at least keep a week journal of my progress here in my blog. And hopefully, be able to make it to and active trading account before the end of the year.

KaBoom! And the plane goes down in flames...

Previously I wrote about looking at Forex as a earning vehicle that I could ride towards my quest to financial freedom.

So I did, and started reading up. Learning as much as I could about Forex as I could.
And I started flexing my Forex muscles by opening a demo account to try and apply what I learned.

There is just so many things one could learn about Forex. And so many more one could learn! It is never enough to read just one source.
So I got me more books and tried to be active in as many forums that discusses Forex as much as possible. Found me two pretty good forums that I learned a lot from.

All went well for the first three weeks of my "trading". Managed to double my "trading capital" by the end of 3 weeks. And I was elated. If only this was real, I would have made a handsome amount!
Then I did something wrong. Within a day, my account was wiped out as the market went the other direction so fast, I am still spinning from its effects while writing this entry.

This week, I am gonna concentrate on reviewing my trades and understand what went wrong. And hopefully, be able to recognize the problem and devise a better strategy to counter it the next time I attempt at trading again.

Will detail my analysis once I am done with it.

I have been busy of late.
From the huge task list at work, to the different commitments I have at home.

So, here I am, today, posting an update of what I have been up to of late.

Ever since the last paid-to program have bitten the dust, I have been looking at some more paid-to sites to add to my list to grow my online earnings.
But the earnings are taking a long time to show.

So I sat down and started thinking, is paid-to programs the way to go?
There must be other forms of income I can tap on to grow my money.
So I started reading up lots of books.

One message that kept ringing in my mind when I was going through the books is this:
If you do not have the talent, learn a skill!

Among the many books I read, Forex investing is one of them.
Eureka! A good, simple platform where I could learn a skill and make money in the comforts of my home all at the same time!
So I am on a quest to learn more about Forex.
Hopefully, in time to come, I will be able to sit in the comfort of my home, and be come financially free with this new skill I am about to master!

If only I have realized this earlier! Then I wouldn't have wasted time on it!
I am sad to announce that another PTC program that I had on trial has bitten the dust!

Surfing around, I found the following posts in other forums that indicated this.
ANGELBUX -Is it a scam?
Has Anyone Been Paid with AngelBux?

I too had a similar experience with the author of theptcinvestor.
I did a payout request somewhere at the end of last month. And in the confirmation page, I was told that it would take about 30 days for the payment to be processed.
Okay, I don't mind, as long as you pay.

And today, when I logged onto the site to do my daily surf, I was surprised to see that the payment has been sent! Boy was I excited!

So I logged onto my alertpay account, hoping to use this long awaited funds for another program that I was looking at but holding out because of lack of alertpay funds. To my disappointment, I did not see any increase in my balance at all.

So I went back to the Angelbux site to check. In the Payments page, it is indicated that I got PAID! Along with numerous other members as well!

So I tried looking for a report or a contact link on the site. NONE!
Went to register at the forum, everything is locked. Nothing can be posted. Nothing can be found as all the threads on complaints have been either removed or not existed at all. Giving the impression that no one is actually taking care of the forum at all!

In view of the above scenario, I am officially renouncing this PTC program from my list of trials!

Do take note. Another one bites the dust!
Looks like another round of updates to my tables to put the programs in their proper places are due. Will be working on those!

Well, it has been a very busy week!

I have finally gotten around to put up all the payment proofs on my programs!

Took me a long while to get it right! But it is working already!

Well, I am always losing track of all the topics that I post when I am on mylot.

In my efforts to make more money online, I am constantly posting to mylot so that I can reach the minimum payout every month. But on some months, it is tougher than others due to a busy schedule.

So, now, one of my daily goals, I will try to post at least 10 new discussions a day. And that is on top of what I am replying to on a daily basis.

And in my previous posting, the nine discussions that I posted did help to boost some of my earning for the day.
I got almost double my usual amount of earnings as compared to just replying to topics or discussions.
Which brings me closer to my payout nearing the end of the month! Woo~Hoo~!

There is a Chinese saying that goes "Appreciate the source of the water that you drink". Simply said, we must remember the source of whatever we are are enjoying.

Many people will agree if I describe life as an odyssey. One that comprises both long and short trips. Each representing the various legs of our journey in life.

Some people view the days of their lives in chronological order. Others see ife as a series of episodic vignettes.

There are others that use the breaks in-between each "trip" as a benchmark to measure their career progression.

However one chooses to categorized them, every experience contributes to something significant to our lives, regardless of whether these incidents are positive or negative.

It is important to remember what we have gone through. And through it all, how we perceived ourselves. Only when we can understand these experiences can we lead fruitful lives by appreciating these precious milestone we collect along the way.

Never forget who you are. Where you are now, you must not fail to acknowledge those who have been instrumental to your success. The people around you and your relationship with them are what makes you who you are.

We as humans, tend to forget where we came from. We often take our friends and loves ones for granted even though they have helped us through the most trying of times.

That is why it is important to embrace a selfless outlook. To never forget what it was like before. Only then, can we fully appreciate the existing relationships that we have. Only then, can we remember we are who we are, because they are the ones who helped us to be.

Life is not a bed of roses. However, instead of just harping on and pining over the uncertainties of life, what is more important is the attitude we adopt when difficult situations arises.

This is especially true for the less-than-positive ones. In our pursuits for material things to make our life look more meaningful, we tend to forget about how much we are blessed with.

Here is a story that I read somewhere. And I feel this is a keeper. A good story that will serve as a reminder to see things in a more positive light when all seems to be lost.

A farmer's donkey fell into a well one day. The animal cried while the farmer looked on and tried to figure out what to do about the situation.

Finally, after much consideration, he decided that the animal was too old to be saved. And the well needed to be covered up anyway. So he asked his neighbors to help him to shovel dirt onto the well to cover it up, at the same time, bury the donkey that fell into the well.

Upon realizing what was happening, the donkey wailed horribliy. After a while, to everyone's surprised, the donkey quietened down. Thinking the animal has given up trying to struggle, the farmer continued to shovel dirt into the well.

A few loads of dirt later, the farmer looked into the well. And he was astonished at what he saw.
With every shovel of dirt that was thrown down, the donkey would shake it off his back and take a step up on it.

This continued as more dirt was shoveled into the well. Finally, to everyone's amazement, the donkey stepped over the edge of the well and trotted off happily away.

In some way, we are all like the donkey that had fallen into the well. And life is going to shovel all kinds of dirt on you and me. Each of our trouble maybe an additional load on our back. Or you can be like the donkey, consider it as a stepping stone to a better end.

The trick to getting out of the deep hole is to look on the positive side of things. Never give up, shake off the dirt and take a step up!

It is that time of the year again. The customary wishing of everyone to have a Happy New Year!
The word here being "Happy"!

If the forecast for the coming yer is to be believed, it may not be so happy after all.

Many expert have forecast that the worst has yet to come. With unemployment on the rise, retrenchment and the closing down of companies are on the platter, what is so happy about the new year?

Nothing! If the challenges for this year is not recognized. Some say it is impossible.

Fortunately, this is not necessarily the case.
Some studies have shown that wealthy people are no happier than the less well-off.
And the poorer chaps are sometimes even happier despite not having enough.

For those that are used to the life of abundance, the source of unhappiness is usually not being about not being able to have more. And more and more...
To them, "having" has no limit. Even though wealth can bring some form of happiness, it is usually a false impression that is short lived. What is worse is that it eventually leads to the belief that happiness can be bought. And the viscous cycle of toggling between happiness and otherwise will set in.
As such, these people are the first to suffer when the economy takes a turn for the worse.

In contrast, the other camp of people (the lesser well-off), have been trained all their lives to be focused more on their state of being rather than the having. They are thus able to better cope with what life has to throw at them without compromising their state of happiness. Which, unlike wealth, is limitless!
They have managed to organise their lives and needs in accordance to what they already have and what they can afford. They are also more aware of the efforts to sustain them.

So in this light, for them, "Happy 2009" is certainly more meaningful.

Take for example, GPS. When it first came out more than 10 years ago, I was working with a company that handles, among its projects, a customized navigation in the sea project for a customer.

I had this fantastic idea to make a navigation for the roads using the GPS and know that it would be very popular if we can get the software developed for 3D maps.
But the idea stops there. As the development work is proprietary to the company, I cannot make use of them to write the software. And I know nuts about writing it from scratch as the software packages I was working on took years to developed prior to my entry to the company.

Then there was the dry-fit shirts that I know would take off when Bossini introduced it to the market. Now, it is everywhere!

Autosurf... The rise, the fall and the industry today...

The autosurf industry has been around for a very long time.
It fact, it picked up its pace in popularity in the early years of the during the turn of the millenium!
It peaked in its popularity during the 2005 to 2006 period.
The most popular ones at the time was Stormypay and 12DailyPro.
Everyone was happy making money off these programs. And they lasted a good period. Just over a year before some disgruntled people started to become jealous of their success and started screaming Ponzi.

It all started with Stormypay, where they started freezing user accounts claiming that they have violated the user agreement and the TOS by joining a ponzi scheme program.
The irony is that, the people who opened the pay processor, are the ones who approve the program in the first place. There begins the downfall of the Autosurf industry...

Looks like the end of the year is the bane of many online making site!
Megalido looks so promising at the beginning of the year!
With a scheme similar to that of a previous program I was on.

So after observing the site for a while I decided to join in.
As usual, I was cautious and bought only one unit to try the program out first.

And it was a good thing too. Cos when my ad pack expired, I was waiting for my payout, Megalido decided to change the TOS. *grumble*
With my money being forced back into the account as fresh ad pack purchase, I had no choice but to patiently wait for the new, longer period, ad pack to expire, which was due this coming 26 Dec 2008.

Well, after patiently surfing to earn the points to advertise my site, Megalido is unaccessible today!

Looks like this one bit the dust as well.
It is so disappointing. The only consolation I got from this program? Well, it directed some traffic to my blog when it was still up and running.

Sigh... it is so tough to find a good reliable program these days.
I will continue to search the net. I am sure I can find a good program that will pay me steadily and reward me for my loyalty to the program.
Till then, the search continues...

I have been a member of a few paid to post forum. And in most of them, they are targeting very specific topics. Food for thought...

Boy, how time flies when you are busy. Just one year ago, my buddy from work took the big leap to go upgrade himself full time. Today, I had lunch with him and he is graduating already.
One year has gone by just like that!

We have chatted on a lot of things on many fronts. And the one thing we share in common? We believe we could do more with our lives than just accepting the fact that we are in a comfortable job with a steady income.

He took the additional step to work towards his dream. Me? Well, I am still comfortable where I am and griping about how much more I want.
I am working towards following his foot steps. Maybe not the exact path he took, but the journey he took. The journey towards a better life.

All those many chats with him, has made me question my motivation in life.
What do I want to do with my life?
Am I satisfied with my current situation?
Am I able to achieve more?
What do I want to achieve then?
How am I going to achieve it?

Today, we met up again after a good few months of not chatting with each other. And again, he prodded my brain into a thinking mode. OH... the groan of the mechanics and gears churning inside my head due to long periods of unused. But he got me thinking!

We touched on the topic of friends. And how they affect me and my life. It was really some food for thought.
During our conversations, he was saying, my current group of friends are in the same position that I am. Always griping about why they cannot do better than they currently are. And then sitting down and enjoying the comforts of the position that they are currently in and not doing anything about it.
Saying how always mixing with this group of people, their vibes will rub off on me.
Then something in my mind went off! Some thing about the laws of attraction.
"Birds of a feather, flock together!". Like attract like. What I think and what I do reflects to the world and I attracted back the same things I think of!

Here I am, always griping that I am not doing enough. And then I get going, but I am stuck at a road block. I am stuck at how to make that first steps towards getting out of my comfort zone to fight for something better.
A vicious cycle I am trapping myself in! This is not right! I must do something about it!

So his advise to me is to expand my network. Make new friends who have the fire in their belly. People who hunger for more than what a comfortable life with a steady job and a stable pay could offer. Mix with them and try to let their vibes of hunger rub off on me.

And it got me thinking, is it that easy to do it?
How can I do it?
What can I do to make it happen?

"Joining seminars is one way. There are plenty of entreprenure seminars that are free to join. Sign up for them and see what it can do for you.", he said, "The other is to try and meet up with more like minded people online."

In a way, I am grateful to have met this buddy of mine. A man who is younger than me, but have the wisdom of someone much much older than me.
He was saying this to me repeatedly. And with my recent thoughts of expanding my network, his advise is timely. I never thought about going to seminars to meet people before. I may just put his advise to work.

So here goes, my attempt to take that first step towards expanding my circle of friends.

Visual Board!

Well, as with any quest to achieve something, we must know what we want.
And in order to know what we want, we have to write it down on a list.

After reading the book The Secret, I am motivated to want to start something call a visual board. And I am going to use this blog entry as the virtual Visual Board to list down the things I want from the Catalogue of the Universe.

So here goes... May my list of wants become true!

1) To own my very own car. And I have been looking around a lot since the first MPV was introduced into the market so long ago.
Over the years, I have fancied a few pretty MPVs. And over the years, that choice of the perfect MPV has changed. But the one that really gets me blood pumping is the latest Honda Stream!

2) To own get my credit ratings in good order!
To be financially free, one must be free from credit. So the ultimate goal is to clear my credit cards so that I am free! And when that happens, I am going to stay that way!

3) To go to Japan for a holiday!
I want to be able to see the Peach Cherry Blossoms! A dream that I have always wanted to do. And I will do it!

4) To be able to earn a TWICE my current income. Target date, to achieve this by the end of next year on this very same day!!

5) To be able to put aside enough savings to afford not to work for a whole year!
This is just a sum set aside. A sum that is enough for me to maintain my current lifestyle without worries for a good whole year!
Once that is achieved, I will have other plans on how to make that nest egg even better. So one baby step towards my financial freedom first. 8)

Well, this is the start. I will add more to it when I can think of what else I want from the Catalogue of the Universe! :)

Well, it has been a really busy past few months. And I have been working my butt off just to get some of the things in my in tray cleared.
I have been working really hard to make a few dollars more off the web.
And some of that effort is paying off. On average, I am making about USD$15 a month. A pretty neat amount, considering the amount of time I am spending on line.

Well, the end of 2008 is near. AND a busy year it has been!
On the work front, I had my hands full with projects after projects. And I am happy that it is going well and smooth for me.

On the home front, well, I am grateful I got a pretty and supportive wife to help me in setting up our new home. And making it a very nice, cozy home to come back to at the end of the long day in the office.

On the internet front, I am working towards a better income to supplement my quest towards a million dollars!
For starters, I have revamped this page and its layout. There are still lots of details to work out. But they are all coming together.
I am working on a list of articles to publish on this site. So look out for them as I update my blog!

I have been reading some books to try and motivate myself to get more done. And I am currently hooked on the book The Secret.
It was fun reading the book and I am also writing my review on that book. You should see the article within the next week or so.

In the book it is recommended that we visualize our goals and know that it is achieved. And if we believed enough, it will come true. So next up, my goal list!

I sure hope I can get more articles going for this blog! And do hope that you guys will continue to support me my staying tune to more as we go along!
